Hospital promo sticker printing - 15 years of white labels!
This morning we were showing our new intern Cassia how to use the Hospital promo sticker printing station, and it occurred to me that our sticker printer is the oldest piece of kit we have in our office, and it has seen 15 years of Hospital. We bought the Imagewriter II printer in 1996 when were based in London W14 because it loads the special pharmacy grade stickers we order from Cee Gee in Harlesden. Cee Gee haven’t changed either, and still produce brilliant old school chemist style stickers for us. You have to use an old classic mac to drive the imagewriter 11 running mac OS9.2, the all time classic operating system for many mac geeks. I hope this piece of history keeps going and going. I hope this post is not the kiss of death!
Todd McLellan’s “Disassembly” pieces are cracking. Reminds me of taking apart old tape decks with Christmas cracker screwdriver sets as a kid.
