I’ve become obsessed with this tune after hearing it on Deep Space Orchestra’s mix for the Basic Soul Show (which if you like soul, house or jazz is pretty much an essential weekly listen).

On a scale of one to smooth, it’s fucking smooth and a half.

Is there anything better than Badu’s vocals? Yes - Seiji laying beats down behind them. Wobbly basslines, funk drumming, sirens; fucking class.

Just read that Zinc / Dynamite’s Wile Out is actually based on this previous Zinc instrumental. I do like the chorus MCing Dynamite does, but the singy bits aren’t for me. Probs do a re-edit this weekend…
